VIRGINIA BEACH – At an event and volunteer opportunity for educators in Virginia Beach to support Dave Belote, Dave announced his endorsement from the Virginia Education Association:
“I’m honored to have the support of educators in the Commonwealth. Our children deserve better than what they’re getting from Richmond right now,” said Dave Belote. “As State Senator, I will work to expand early childhood education, make college more affordable, and be an advocate for special needs children like my son Drew.”
When it comes to expanding early childhood education, Dave strongly believes that the foundation for success starts in the classroom. He is committed to expanding access to early childhood education, like Pre-K and full-day Kindergarten. Dave is also dedicated to finding ways to make college more affordable for young folks like his sons Mike and Matt.
Dave’s dedication to education really stems from his relationship with his autistic son Drew. Public education made all the difference for Drew; he now has life skills and job skills because of a Virginia education. Dave believes every child should have the opportunity that Drew had to reach their potential.
Dave’s campaign has seen great momentum in recent weeks. In addition to key endorsements like Virginia Education Association, the campaign is on television with their new advertisement, and growing every day in their effort to speak with voters one on one.
